Shivaay singh oberoi's world revolves around business and family. He is known to be cold hearted in the business world. People think he's serious all the time, thinking only about business and his family but those who know him well, know that he has been to his fair share of parties. And yeah, he doesn't believe in romantic love, it's all stupid and fake, popularised by movies. Family love is the real thing. His kanji eyes, which seem intimidating to some people, actually hide all his secrets and feelings, he just hasn't met someone who could read them well. Fate brought Annika trivedi, a fun loving fashion designer, into his life. She is a confident, ambitious, determined girl, who also knows how to have fun. She often takes vacations with her close friends to unwind and goes out whenever she is not working. Her love life has not been very nice because of which she has trust issues. She is scared to come too close to people, she wants to protect herself because all her life she has lost her loved ones. She can't take anymore losses. Her grandfather is the only family she has left. This is the story of the game fate played with them. One doesn't believe in love, one is afraid to love, can they fall in love? Can they learn to trust each other?

Businessman Shivaay Singh Oberoi is super successful in his professional life, he has fame and fortune, and everyone wants to be in business with him. People think he has it all, but it's not always how it looks. His relationships never seem to pan out. Annika Trivedi is an event organizer by profession but plays many roles in her life. She has no memory of her birth parents and her adopted parents died a while ago. Since then she has fulfilled the role of an elder sister her younger sister could depend on, the role of a mother for her younger brother, and the role of the rock of the family who takes care of everything. She has faced a lot of troubles. What will happen when the two of them get stuck together for some time away from home? Will the lockdown lead to something or will they part as strangers only to meet again? What will happen when they come face to face again in the future? Are they meant to be together?

Shivaay Singh Oberoi, a very successful and famous business tycoon, had a bad experience because of which he does not believe in marriage or romance. The only people he loves are his brothers and his grandmother. Annika Trivedi has faced more than her fair share of troubles, born in a middle class family and lost everyone at a young age. Pain and hardships have been a part of her entire life, but that did not bring her spirit down. Two very different people, born and brought up in very different worlds, yet their paths crossed, again and again. Each carries their own baggage and trauma, but they deal with it in their own way. Will they fall in love? Can they help each other heal? Can Shivaay get over his loss?

Amidst the pandemonium created world-wide by Covid-19, Annika is stuck in Toronto, away from home. After her university asks all students to leave the dorms, Annika has nowhere to go, that is until her best friend in India suggests Annika move in with her brother until things get better. Desperate, Annika agrees, not knowing what she is signing up for as she goes into quarantine with Shivaay Singh Oberoi. In a time when the world is threatened by human extinction, will Annika manage to find love in an unlikely place? (title inspired by the novel Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel García Márquez)
