After Emilia Cortes just upped and left her old club, she joins FC Barcelona Femení in hope for a fresh start. However, things seem to be even worse than before when one of her new teammates, the one and only Mapi León, seems to have it out for her. Nevertheless, she can't help to feel drawn to her... Mapi on the other hand has been frustrated with life on and off the pitch after her (ex-)girlfriend and best friend both joined other clubs. She's become the known "player" of the group, with a new girl every week, however her life as a player on the pitch is not going great. After a rocky start, Emilia and Mapi seem to be growing closer, but both of their pasts are catching up to them...

Aleid van Alstine has been representing the Netherlands since she was seventeen, kickstarting her career at nearby club FC Twente, before moving to Germany to play for Wolfsburg, then to the United States to play for the Houston Dash, and now to England for her next adventure at the north London team, Arsenal. Despite having been relatively at home at Houston, with a girlfriend and even a dog, she missed Europe and her family terribly, along with the sport she loves.
