Sanem is the only daughter of Nihat Aydın, a Turkish immigrant in Argentina. Nihat arrived penniless in Argentina after fleeing the coup in Turkey in 1980. Not wanting to live in a military regime, he managed to leave his native country with the help of some friends, and cross the border into Greece. Upon arriving in Argentina, Nihat settled in Santa Catalina (Cordoba), and found work on one of the richest ranches in the region; Estancia La Asunción. He worked tirelessly until he became the foreman and trusted right-hand man of the owner, Mauro Ferreyra. Driven by his ambition and desire to secure permanent residence in the country, Nihat secretly dated Don Mauro's only daughter, Ana Lucia. It didn't take long for Ana Lucia to fall pregnant, which gave Don Mauro no choice but to accept and arrange Nihat and Ana Lucia's wedding, to avoid the disgrace of his daughter. After the death of Don Mauro, Ana Lucia became ill and suddenly died. Nihat became the owner of La Asunción and Sanem his only heir. Jan Pereira is a hard-working young man from the valley. His mother, Natalia Pereira, died when he was very young. Natalia was a peasant who worked in an estancia near La Asunción, called La Granadilla. Jan also worked as a farmhand in La Granadilla. Although he doesn't have any formal education, Jan has learned to read, write and do simple mathematics; which are all he needs to work as a farmhand. He is a humble and loyal man who, despite having many lovers, has never been in love. He still dreams of his youthful obsession; a beautiful young woman who wore men's clothes, whose name he never knew. They would frequently meet on the eastern part of La Asunción when he was out riding on his horse. He never imagined that years later fate would bring her back into his life, much less that she would be the Heiress feared by everyone in the valley.

Ok, on the EK for English Speakers Facebook group, I posted a short snippet in reaction to the end of episode 41 where it ends with Can going into the fire. I'm copying it here and am working on expanding it a bit further beyond just our two star crossed lovers.

Can 'Albatross' Divit, current Olympic Gold medalist in high board diving, suddenly disappears from his seemingly extravagant and decadent playboy lifestyle of late night partying, after a very public disagreement with a young attractive female journalist. He's branded as arrogant and sexiest by the media, loses his lucrative sponsorship deals, and finds his reputation in tatters. A year later, he returns, looking fitter and sharper than ever, vowing to re-claim his life, stand up to his accusers and defend his Olympic title. Plus there's the the small matter of revenge against the beautiful naive young woman who started the whole chain of events, that changed his life overnight. However, he hadn't factored in the surprise secret that she had been keeping that would stop him in his tracks.

This is my take on episodes 29, 30, etc. and the Fabri, perfume, Can in jail farce. I could not stand Can's attitude at the hut, his attitude was that of a spoiled brat, his yelling at Sanem in front of Polen, and her smirking. I could not stand Polen from her first introduction. My interpretation of this story does not include Can's memory loss, leaving for a year, or Sanem acting so childish. I will make Huma pay for her interference, but still working on that idea. I also did not like Emre getting off so easily. He needs to repent a little more. I thought Aziz was made out to be simple minded, when he had started and built a multimillion dollar business. He was not that old. I took creative license to make the story like I would have liked it to be and end! I made up details just to make it fun at times. There will be drama and violence, not my favorite, but will get even with some of the villains. I am not affiliated with Erkenci Kus, its actors, writers, or anyone. I am just a fan and not a writer.
