Her father has over looked her ever since his failed mission in the Holy Land, blaming her in the process, her best friend who she considered to be her sister is dead, and the Prince-the very man who had her mother killed-is coming. Yay. Guy, however, feels worse. He's been to the Holy Land before, but this time it went bad... like really bad. He killed the one person in his life he could not live without, the Sheriff is putting even more pressure on him than before, and the Prince was coming and demanded so much of him. But he finds his heart has twisted. In fact, they both do... for each other. But how long will it take for them to find out, and will they still be alive by the time everything rolls through?

I was inspired to write this short story after seeing a graphic shared by becLadyOakenshield on Facebook, from an Armitage Army Portrait of Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield sleeping (used in the story cover graphic).

The line of Durin was supposedly left to only three true descendents; Thorin Oakenshield and his two nephews, Fíli and Kíli. Yet after their untimely deaths, a distant relation is the only dwarf closest in blood to Durin. Or is he? One of these three HAVE made a family for himself. Lothiriel is a Nymph from the forests of Eryn Vorn, Bilbo is a Hobbit from The Shire and Thorin and company have left behind their home, Erebor. Being unexpectedly roped into this intriguing adventure, Lothiriel is naturally taking in the adventure and the danger, unlike the unwilling Hobbit. Thorin on the other hand, although seemingly adrift to the two newcomers on his quest, accept their aid none the less. But what if all the adventuring comes at a cost? Or if something unexpected comes from this interesting adventure?
