George is homeless, with both of his parents having died when he was a boy. He manages to get by, still going to highschool and switching between sleeping at his friend's houses and on the streets. Clay is a star student, and well liked by both the teachers and kids. His parents, both being lawyers, are rich and highly respected. What happens when the two boys end up stuck in detention together? For as long as George can remember, he's always felt like an outcast. He'd learned to be cautious when letting new people into his life, never allowing anyone to get too close. As time passed he gradually got used to relying solely on himself, but he still desperately wished he could just put himself out there a little more. At the age of twenty-one he's finally ready to take some risks and meet new people, or at least, that's what he's trying to tell himself. As George battles with his self worth and feelings of discouragement, he has a chance encounter with an American stranger in the middle of the night. Could an unlikely friendship between the two change the trajectory of George's life? For the past two years, the only dreams George has had the pleasure of having were horrible, horrible nightmares. These nightmares always had five things in common. In every one, each and every person he cared about died in an excruciatingly painful way. In every one, George was tied up, and there were lacerations all across his chest that bled but didn't hurt. In every one, there was someone cackling in the background. In every one, there was something there. Something he could never remember the details of when he woke up. And lastly, that something would always lick his wounds slowly, savoring his blood and fear before whispering a promise in his ear. "I'll see you soon, Georgie." When George gets forced to go to the worst asylum ever, his life seems to be collapsing. He has no freedom anymore and gets locked in his room the entire day. He feels alone and sits in front of the small window in his room the whole day, often seeing a blonde boy coming from the rehab centre. Clay notices George sitting in front of the window everyday, Clay is recovering from extreme drugs, alcohol and smoking addiction and wants to help George by sending him small messages after George escaped and runs into him, asking for help. Even when everything seems to be hopeless, the two boys find a small spark of hope when they meet. REWROTE THIS TO A PLATONIC STORY :)

After George and Clay got together, life went on. Unfortunately not everyone is happy with their relationship and they show this clearly. After a lot of bullying, trying to break their relationship and a lot of pain caused, George doesn't seem to be able to take it anymore. (I recommend reading the other first!) After George is kicked out from his home for being transgender, he looses hope in ever finding someone that would accept him for who he really is. George's only option was to move in with his homophobic grandparents and he only wishes to be called a boy however that apparently was too much to ask. In a last attempt to find happiness he attends a music class as he enjoys singing. He meets a boy, Clay, however will Clay be just like the others? I'm aware that this is not how it goes for everyone)

George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.
