When she brushes shoulders with a ring of unregistered "Supergenetic" criminals attempting to bring down a government run organization in charge of tracking families with Supergenes- "normal" begins to seem impossible. Natalie is forced to leave the ease of her current life to work for the newly revamped Department of Heroes as a next generation superhero. Her objective appears straightforward: put a stop to the criminal group tagging Chicago buildings with a familiar-looking symbol. When Natalie discovers the true goal of these Supergenetic rebels, she learns to give up a life of comfort and complacency to uncover a larger conspiracy surrounding her superhero father's death.
