They were two peas in a pod. That's Gianne and Nikolai for you--attached at the hip, like two parallel lines heading in the same direction. Inseparable since forever.
Were.
They used to be.
Until something shifted.
Because just when Gianne thought falling for him was the worst thing that could happen--things somehow get worse. She ends up living with him under the same roof. And then, in a twist of fate (or poor decision-making), she ends up fake dating him. But to Nikolai, who better to pretend with than her? They practically grew up together and know every single one of each other's cringiest life moments. What could possibly go wrong, right? (Aside from the fact that one of them actually has feelings.)
The deal is simple: Gian gets to pass her final semester with the help of Nikolai's genius brain. Seems like a fair deal. But is academic survival enough of a reason to pretend her feelings don't exist?
Between wrong timings, lingering feelings, complicated pasts, everything left unsaid, and a relationship that's anything but pretend, Gian begins to wonder:
If parallel lines were never meant to meet... Why does it feel like they're bound to collide?
