Marinette didn't resent her family. she knew that she would never be a priority. She was the only Kent sibling with no power. Well... As far as they knew anyway. She was just tired of never fitting in. She was well trained. Bruce had trained her, but her father would not allow her to be a hero. She gave up... one day, she left a note on her pillow simply saying 'I'm leaving'. with the help of Damien, she created a new identity. The only Kryptonian she still contacted was her Aunt Kara. But someone with a family of heroes can't escape heroism for long. However, her hurt caused her to avoid help. When an emotional terrorist has your city captive, it can be a bit of a problem.

A small blue-haired girl ran through the Wayne grounds. 'C'mon! You're the richest man in earth! You have to have something to eat!' she thought. "Hey! What are you doing here? Who are you?" Bruce asked apon seeing the 5 year old running through the shadows. "... I needed food." "How did you get in?" "None of your business!" She growled. Bruce turned back to call for Alfred. When he turned back, the girl was gone. ... An au where Marinette was born in Gotham. Orphaned. Every once in a while she turns up at the manor and slowly builds relationships with the boys, particularly Selina and Damien. Of course, she knew they were the Batfamily. However, at 10 she is found and taken to Paris and given the identity of Marinette Dupain-Cheng. ...Later she returns as Ladynoir... charecters are not mine! Enjoy! Marinette Kyle Wayne, the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle when she was 3 years old, was kidnapped. She can't remember their name, faces, or anything about them. No one knows how she got kidnapped. Marinette's last name is changed to Dupain-Cheng, and she is an exchange student at Gotham Academy. What happens to her host family are her parents, but she doesn't know? What happens if her host family is the Wayne's? Will they recognize that it's their daughter/sister? What is her reaction to finding out? I might have to change the DC age, but it's just for this story.

Marinette moves to Gotham when Bunnix warns that Lila will ruin her life if she stays in Paris, giving Hawk Moth the chance manipulate Marinette's emotions and akumatize her. But Marinette won't let that happen. She wins the Wayne Foundation full-ride scholarship for Gotham Academy and moves into an apartment in an area called Crime Alley. It's not going to be easy to hide her powers, and excuse herself during the middle of classes to take care of akuma attacks back in Paris, but she's sure that somehow she'll be able to manage it. Damian "Ice Prince" Wayne doesn't understand the feelings that he is developing for the new French exchange student. She's just another pretty girl... perhaps a very smart girl... but just a girl! Why does his heart beat faster whenever she's around? He should be focusing on keeping Gotham safe, and assisting the Justice League with the recent Metahuman trafficking situation, but instead his thoughts are consumed by Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
