Answer: a coveted Transfigurations advanced study position, Minerva Mcgonagall's surprising fondness for him, thestrals, tea with Hagrid, tutoring Harry Potter, Granger and Weasley's excessive PDA, and the perplexing nature of sleight-of-hand double-dates with Harry, Luna, and Ginny. And then, of course, there's righteously indignant (if misinformed) Weasley, Draco's own insecurities and flair for dramatics, and a long-suffering Kingsley Shacklebolt. And he *definitely* doesn't want to remember his former lover, Draco Malfoy. Of course, his life has never really been dictated by what he wants.

Draco starts his first year of Hogwarts as an orphan. his parents fled the country, leaving him on the doorstep of an orphanage. They would have taken him along, but he was just a burden to them. You see, Draco was deaf. No one bothered to get to know the poor boy, it was too troublesome to learn sign language. That is, until one Harry Potter offers to sit by him on the train in fifth year. Learning that the boy cannot hear, they write notes the rest of the trip. Harry soon becomes determined to be the boy's best friend.

After the war, Snape disappeared from everyone except himself. He hides himself even from his own truths. The truth is, it was never Lily he loved, but James. Hatred was not was he felt in his heart for the The Boy Who Lived, but rather bitterness. He had to come to terms that the young boy was the spitting image of whom he'd loved and lost. His only hope for some peace, is to set his godchild up with the Golden Boy. He wanted Draco to get what he never stood a chance to.
