Before Karasuno's first practice match with Nekoma, Hinata takes a great fall and ends up hurting himself. He won't be able to play in the game. One late night while he wasn't able to sleep, he finds one of the Nekoma player's Instagram and he messages him. When Hinata accidentally leaves his Volleyball shoes at home and the team is in Tokyo, he is forced to go and buy new ones. Kenma agrees to take him to a nearby store, and strangely, he buys the exact same pair of white shoes, only his laces were yellow, and Hinata's were orange.
