"It was like a wave crashing up against the shore, the sounds of an old piano breaking through the silence, a light illuminating the darkness, a sense, a feeling. A million emotions suddenly flowing through your head that you haven't felt in the longest time. A time and place that you thought you would never get the chance to visit again. Suddenly everything felt right. Everything had a purpose again. He had a reason for living again. After it seemed like a thousand lifetimes of waiting, he finally found it again. He found him again. His home."
...
Or an au where Louis and Harry are off living their separate lives 10 years after the news that they didn't make it through the x-factor. The time they shared was brief but it left them with a bond that could never be broken. Time has found a way to twist into the mind of these two boys and cause them to forget. Forget the time they shared together and forget the reason that allowed them to keep going.
Louis' and Harry's paths eventually cross again with a mix of confusion, trauma, unresolved conflicts and maybe with a force of forgotten memories and feelings that reached the surface once again.
But will those memories be able to see how much time it takes for their two souls to come back home to each other? Time is supposed to heal all wounds, but maybe some wounds aren't able to stitch back together.
