Kiedy na południu lenna ludzie zaczynają znikać bez śladu, sprawy przybierają nowy obrót. Z pozoru prosta misja okazuje się znacznie bardziej skomplikowanym wyzwaniem, podczas którego współpraca i zaufanie zwiadowców zostają wystawione na próbę. Czy utrzymanie tajemnic jest w tych okolicznościach możliwe? I co z tym wszystkim ma wspólnego pewna tajemnicza trupa cyrkowców? Zwiadowca będzie musiał sprostać nowym wyzwaniom, jakie postawi przed nim wychowanie nastoletniego czeladnika, a uczeń będzie musiał odnaleźć się w nowym życiu i przemyśleć swoje miejsce w tym wszystkim.
