Na dodatek dość szybko staje się jasne, że młody coś ukrywa. Jak jednak wiadomo, każda tajemnica musi kiedyś wyjść na jaw. Kiedy na południu lenna ludzie zaczynają znikać bez śladu, sprawy przybierają nowy obrót. Z pozoru prosta misja okazuje się znacznie bardziej skomplikowanym wyzwaniem, podczas którego współpraca i zaufanie zwiadowców zostają wystawione na próbę. Czy utrzymanie tajemnic jest w tych okolicznościach możliwe? I co z tym wszystkim ma wspólnego pewna tajemnicza trupa cyrkowców? Zwiadowca będzie musiał sprostać nowym wyzwaniom, jakie postawi przed nim wychowanie nastoletniego czeladnika, a uczeń będzie musiał odnaleźć się w nowym życiu i przemyśleć swoje miejsce w tym wszystkim.
