Korra and Asami have been happily married for 5 years. They've adopted a fourteen -year-old girl called Akemi, and she loves both of them as if she were her own flesh and blood. Waking up to Korra missing isn't unusual - she is, after all, the Avatar. She could just dissapear for days on end. She has a signal to Asami - she'll put her wedding band on Asami's finger if she's okay. However, one morning Akemi and Asami wake up to find the Avatar missing... And she didn't leave the signal. They decide to wait for three days, see if Korra comes back, but they wait for nine and Korra dosen't appear. After waiting around and doing nothing while the RCPD (Republic City Police Department) does "All they can," she takes matters into her own hands and she's off to find Korra on her own. But what if she can't find Korra? (I got this cover art from a Google search, I didn't make it, credit does not go to me)

In this story Asami starts off as an orphan. She meets a small brown girl with the most big beautiful blue eyes, at the orphanage. The blue eyed girl was to young to speak but she would be able to say "avatar". Asami decided to stick with that name and call her "Avatar". They became best friends and promise to each other that they will always stay together. But everything changed once Avatar was adopted. Before Avatar left, she went to hug Asami for the last time and promised her that they would make their way back to each other. Asami stayed with that promised. Soon she was taken in by Katara. But she never let go of that memory, and she knew deep down in her gut that she will find her again. She will find her Avatar.

This is a SEQUEL to 'My Duty' I suggest you read that one first otherwise you'll have no clue on what's going on. ----- The rose was soft, cold, damp... red. (**IMPORTANT**) In this AU, Korra is adopted by Tenzin, after the Southern Tribe of Wingèds is destroyed. Jinora is Korra's age and Opal is staying with them in the Tree Temple (Air Temple). Pema is a human, and Mako is a Merperson like Asami. There are no benders, only Humans, Merpeople, and Wingèds, but the nations, tribes, etc. all stay somewhat the same.
