While trying to escape Pallet Town, the ones responsible for his betrayal had attacked him, injuring Ash into running into Pallet Forest. Few years later, a new tournament was opening but before that, someone had dominated the Kanto's Champion League and nearly everyone from each region are watching. The Kanto Champion, who happens to be also Alola's Champion, too, was never seen by public. It has been only confirmed that someone defeated Lance, the former Kanto Champion, and no one never know who the Champion was. However, what they didn't know is that the Champion was a familiar boy, but with crimson cold eyes.
