Many things in her life had taken Echo by surprise, but nothing had struck her harder than the second she decided not to go to Bardo. It had been years of endless, reckless, and almost merciless training with Gabriel, Hope, and Orlando. But when plans changed ever so drastically, and Raven somehow found a way to get to them, Echo realized most of her training had led her to one thing only. Devoting herself to Hope. She chose to follow her, even when she had no clue where Bellamy was. She chose to follow her when Hope herself had no reason to fight anymore.

Echo froze when Hope looked back at her with her incredibly soft, yet mesmerizingly fierce eyes. They just stared, and she wondered what she would do if, for some reason, Bellamy ended up costing her Hope.
