Nakano has never been a Hero acolyte. The enthusiasm for these bastards that the rest of society seemed to be infected with had never contaminated her, much like the soft glow of the sun in dappled afternoons or the salty brine of ocean. Those were experiences for people who had been gifted normal childhoods. Not for people like her. Haunted by an old eugenics experiment gone awry and raised by unsympathetic bureaucracies and slim pickings of affection, will Nakano submit to training in the system that has been held over her head every step of the way?
