Toni lived a teenage daydream, being cheer captain and the girlfriend of Riverdale High's star player, Reggie Mantle. Cheryl-or Cherry as she preferred to go by-was a gang member who lived on the wrong side of the tracks. They believed the only things similar about them were that they shared a couple of classes and the same friend group. But things began to take a turn when they started to realize there was something they could relate to; trauma. Little was known about the girl's pasts, but slowly their webs of secrets began to unwind and bit by bit they realized they got along more than they ever thought they would.
