***THIS STORY WILL BECOME FREE ON JULY15th!*** Beverly Curie only lives for herself (and maybe ice cream). When her three nieces are suddenly put under her care, she must do the impossible: think about someone other than herself. Beverly is the only member of her family left in Chestnut Ridge, where she's kept the same routine for eight years: do as little work as possible during the day, marathon sitcoms in the evening, and try (for the life of her) to get everyone to leave her alone. When she loses her position at Red Ribbon's Craft Store, Beverly is left without a job and without a paycheck. Then her estranged sister, Aimee, calls with an impossible favor: Could Beverly take care of her three nieces for six months? It's insane. But then there's the thirty thousand dollars that Aimee offers to pay and Beverly can't resist. Suddenly, she's stuck taking care of three little girls, trying not to kill the soccer moms at the snobby Percival Academy, and joining the PTO. Now Beverly--self-serving, sarcastic, and problematic--must take on the role of a loving parent. And she is anything but. Hello everyone! So this is by no means my book. I'm just posting it for myself and those that might need it for classes or just entertainment. All credit goes to Jane Austen. I don't know why but it's always easier to read on Wattpad rather than the actual book. Hahahaha I hope this becomes of some use to you :)

More than eight years before the novel opens, Anne Elliot, then a lovely, thoughtful, warm-hearted 19 year old, accepted a proposal of marriage from the handsome young naval officer Frederick Wentworth. He was clever, confident, and ambitious, but poor and with no particular family connections to recommend him. Sir Walter, Anne's fatuous, snobbish father and her equally self-involved older sister Elizabeth were dissatisfied with her choice, maintaining that he was no match for an Elliot of Kellynch Hall, the family estate. Her older friend and mentor, Lady Russell, acting in place of Anne's late mother, persuaded her to break the engagement. Now 27 and still unmarried, Anne re-encounters her former love when his sister and brother-in-law, the Crofts, take out a lease on Kellynch. Wentworth is now a captain and wealthy from maritime victories in the Napoleonic wars. However, he has not forgiven Anne for rejecting him. While publicly declaring that he is ready to marry any suitable young woman who catches his fancy, he privately resolves that he is ready to become attached to any appealing young woman except for Anne Elliot.

In a world shattered by war, where the remnants of civilization lie in ruins and survival is the only thing that matters, Echoes of a Broken World follows the intertwined journeys of two unlikely companions, Khalid and Amira. Khalid, a battle-hardened survivor, has witnessed the loss of everything he once held dear. Haunted by memories of family and friends lost in the chaos, he wanders through the desolate landscapes, seeking meaning in a world that has lost its humanity. Despite the constant threat of danger, he finds himself drawn to a place where people are still trying to rebuild, trying to restore hope in a time when it seems all but lost. Amira, a young woman with a tragic past, carries her own scars. Her family torn apart by the violence of war, she is left with nothing but the will to survive. She meets Khalid by chance, and together, they become a fragile support system for one another in a world where trust is a scarce commodity. As their bond deepens, they discover that their connection is rooted in more than just survival. Together, they challenge the cruelty of the world around them, and in doing so, they begin to find pieces of themselves that they thought were lost forever. Their journey leads them across desolate cities, through abandoned villages, and to the very heart of the broken world, where both danger and hope lie in equal measure. Along the way, they encounter other survivors-some willing to help, others ready to betray. They confront not only external threats but also the internal struggles that come with being the last of a forgotten world. Through betrayals, battles, and the fight for survival, Echoes of a Broken World explores the essence of humanity, the resilience of the spirit, and the power of hope even in the darkest of times. It's a story of loss, love, and finding redemption amidst the ruins of a once-beautiful world. As the final pages approach, Khalid and Amira are forced to confront the truth.
