Fake uncle is actually a time traveler from the past, he's really their great-great grandpa, Horatio, and wants to use the ankhs to stop the time rift. Imhotep wants to get home. It's been a year since Grizzabella was chosen by Old Deuteronomy to begin a new life. You would think after a year of not seeing each other these cats would have changed, but no.
