Angst everywhere~ THIS IS A MODERN HAM AU Alexander Hamilton grew up in the small island of St. Kitts and Nevis as an orphan, so when he gets a shot at being an exchange student in New York at the prestigious King's High School, he quickly agrees. He moves in with Coach George Washington, but realizes that everything is not exactly as it seems in his new home.

Alexander Hamilton is selectively mute, depressed, and just altogether damaged. His soulmate, John Laurens, knows it too, from the overwhelming waves of sadness he feels occasionally to the aching pains in his forearms. John wishes that he could help him, but he knows nothing about his soulmate. However, the odds are in Alexander and John's favor when Alex enrolls in Kings College, where John is a student. John might find Alex, but will it be in time? Can he save him from James Reynolds? WARNINGS: There is rape, angst, depression, cursing, and lots of other stuff that is inappropriate for young reader. I can't stop you though. Basically how the soulmate thing works like: When you kiss your soulmate, a band in your skin forms on your left ring finger. You can change the band to look however you want. If your soulmate is feeling a strong emotion, your soulmate feels it too. If you get hurt, your soulmate feels a muffled version of that pain. Yes I used a Heathers quote as the title FIGHT ME (Don't actually I'm weak, there's a reason I act instead of playing sports) (Not that acting/dancing/singing isn't hard but ya). I really had no idea what I was doing when I started writing this so sorry if it's weird or things don't make sense. His tough life has caused him to become selectively mute. He hasn't spoken a word since he was 15. But, when he meets John, his dorm mate, his outlook on life is turned around. After life threw Alexander around for years, things finally started settling down. He had a loving family, an education, and caring friends. A home. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

John Laurens was known in college for one thing and one thing only: He was the biggest fuck boy ever. Which was perhaps a hyperbole, but the title still stood. What most people didn't know is that behind the charming smiles and weekly hookups, John Laurens was just a desperate gay guy in search for a cute that didn't sleep. He convinced himself that if he slept with enough girls, he would start liking them eventually, but it doesn't work that way.
