all rights to Rick Riordan Percy's mother died when he was younger and he was left with his sick twisted abusive smelly stepfather Gabe. Percy is too afraid to tell an adult and he doesn't want to tell his best friend Jason either. Jason has always wondered why Percy looked tired, pained, had bruises, and always wore long sleeves.
