Life is full of regular teens going about their pretty dull, normal lives. Except Imogen is not one of them. Recently diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, her hallucinations are so vivid that she's armed herself with a take-no-shit attitude and her Polaroid camera-or any device that can snap reality back into place. She's a girl on a mission to stay sane enough to make it into college. But that plan backfires the second she meets him. Chase-a fiercely alluring and mysterious boy-standing in front of her at the rooftop of her high school on Prom night seems too good to be true. They talk. She hates it. Why? Because now she desperately wants their connection to be real. Hiding her illness to be the normal girl he thinks she is will be the beginning of everything. Before she knows it, they are wandering searching for what makes them feel alive, while she battles her demons for a love so strong to hush them for good. ✶✶✶ Witty, thought-provoking, and ultimately moving, this story will have you reading chapter after chapter trying to figure out what is real and what is not. Who said we can't fall in love with what we can't prove we made up? ✶✶✶ ⚠️WARNING: You should only be reading this on Wattpad. Anywhere else is sheer plagiarism⚠️

As they both try dodging the police and investigators, their friendship seems to be breaking apart piece by piece -- For the Open Novella Contest, I am using Prompt #58. "This is fun!" Your friend says. "Seriously? We're hiding a body!" You respond.

Melanie Armstrong is your typical nerd. Big glasses, braided hair, and might I add... clumsy. She basically fits the stereotype. No one ever notices her, unless they're laughing at her dramatic slips in the hallway. But, that's the way she likes it, the way she's used to. Dakota Dane is your classical bad boy. Dark hair, dark eyes, extremely tall and muscular. Girls want him; boys want to be him; teachers adore him. I mean, who doesn't want a taste of him? He's used to the attention--he loves it, in fact. They lead entirely different lives. Both of them never even thought of each other until Meli's clumsiness lands her right into Dakota's hands...literally. Dakota is used to girls swooning over him- so when Meli shows no interest in him whatsoever, it becomes his mission to get her to fall for him, except it turns out...Meli has other plans.
