There were some things in life that even magic couldn't heal and for Zakari Ollivander, being deaf was not something that he wanted to be "healed" of anyways. Never considering himself disabled, Zakari considered himself just to be slightly different growing up. He still enjoyed partaking in activities that other children his age were involved in, even if he had to find his own way to do them. It was a challenge sometimes, but Zakari was always up for a challenge. As the grandson of a famous wandmaker, Zakari's biggest challenge yet would come to the young boy when he receives his acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Without knowing him, people were quick to pass their judgement, believing the boy would struggle and calling it a waste of time trying to teach magic to a boy who couldn't hear and hardly spoke. However, Zakari sets himself out to prove that just because he was hard of hearing, didn't mean he didn't have anything to say. It was everyone else around him that needed to learn how to listen.

There was little known about Pierce Holmes. Even his closest friends at Hogwarts knew little about him and that's the way he wanted to keep it. The known facts about the Ravenclaw's home life was his mother was a writer and his father wasn't in the picture much. While his father didn't play a big role in his life, Pierce refused to keep his mother's maiden name. While his home life seemed dysfunctional, Pierce was a rather happy student at Hogwarts. He enjoyed his classes and was friendly to other students. One student in particular caught his eye from the beginning, but not for her looks, but her intelligence. He admired Hermione Granger, because she wasn't afraid to be smart unlike some girls he came across in school, who enjoyed pretending they were scatterbrained. He's thought about the conversations he would like to have with her, but can't bring himself to talk to her. But all that changes when fourth year arrives and the Tri-Wizard Tournament comes to Hogwarts. Pierce finds himself with no choice but to talk to the Gryffindor girl. However, things don't go according to plan, especially when Sherlock Holmes is involved in the scenario.

But with her feline companion, Iggy, at her side, she embarks on her own journey. Along the way, she meets Charlie Weasley, a boy whose hair is as red as her hair is white. And bright locks are not the only thing the two have in common, as their love for magical creatures and the outdoors, sparks a friendship that cannot and will not be broken. But their friendship is put to the test as their Seventh Year at Hogwarts approaches, and feelings that were not there before, start to surface. *mature rating because of language* * TRIGGER WARNING * This is the rewrite of Learning How To Laugh Again. I feel confined within these walls that are depression, these walls that are glass, these walls that are closing in. Everyone peers in, unsure of how to act, so they just watch. They watch me get crushed between these walls. All except one.

To say that Oliver Wood had a slight obsession with Quidditch was an understatement. It was borderline unhealthy. He loved the sport, but he hated losing. While he hated losing to any team, there was one team he hated losing to the most. Surprisingly enough, it was the Ravenclaw team. But it wasn't for reasons that many would suspect, it was because of who played on the Ravenclaw team. Melanie Anderson has been playing for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as Chaser since her second year. What started off as friendly competition turned into rivalry as she and Oliver Wood made it their sole mission to have their teams beat each other every year. Oliver wants to win for the sake of winning, but Melanie wants to win just to see the frustrated look on Oliver's face because it's just so damn cute. Plus, who wouldn't want to hear the sexy Scottish voice curse their name?
