Nero might of had a love interest but that didn't mean he didn't hang out with his sister, they were separated at birth and finally found each other when His Holiness had shown her face next to Kyrie's when he was taunting him. He didn't know of her, but just hearing that he was related to her in some way hit him in the heart and his rage wavered. But the past was the past and this is the present.
