As the daughter of Regulus Black she had to deal with assumptions and judgemental behaviour from her peers. Most of the Slytherin table called her a blood traitor and other foul names, because her father had turned on the Dark Lord by trying to back out of his duties. At least, that's what the rumours said... Kreacher had told her the truth once, he didn't like talking about it very much, which she understood. The other houses would rather avoid her altogether, because of her family background. They'd rather walk the other way when she trotted down the corridor instead of getting to know her and finding out that the girl is nothing like her family. Salem would even bet that nobody knew that she wasn't even raised by her death eater family members. Kreacher and Remus did a wonderful job, raising a kind girl who loved to learn and help others, but didn't shy away from causing mischief either. Everyone at Hogwarts would find that out soon enough. Maeve, was a quite unique girl. Whoever witnessed her smile or laugh was instantly intoxicated by her presence, and thats what happened to a particular twin who's eyes had been roaming the Great Hall when he laid his sight on a particular Hufflepuff. She grew up learning from a young age that she was a witch. Her parents surrounded her with magic and Magical Creatures. Her grandfather left her dad his studies and animals. Her first pet was a Puffskein, not your average household pet for most, but for her it was just perfect. Except when it stuck its tongue up her nose when she was napping. But none the less, she grew up happy and surrounded with love and magic. She knows that her last name is kind of out there, people stop her parents all the time saying that they respected her grandfather and his findings. She's read his book a bunch of times, but she didn't understand why he was so popular. He was just her nutty gramps who loved the magical beast. But I guess, because he showed the world the amazing finds we have in our world living with us, she could admit he was pretty cool.
