When Rin imagined meeting her mate she did not expect their first meeting to be of him wounded and kneeling in her father's throne room slowly dying. What was more shocking was how she healed him without a second thought because she couldn't bear his pain and even going as far as kissing him slightly forgetting everyone in the room including her father who did not look in anyway pleased. She is torn between two sides. The right one blurred in-between them both. Each holding a consequence she just might not be ready to face. Her father who is grooming her to be exactly like him, a merciless tyrant. Or Her mate who wants her to forsake all she's ever known and in doing so choose him and his people, the rebels. *** 'Rin I care about you. The moment you let them conquer your mind from something as weak as your heart you have already lost. They will use that spymaster to dethrone me and once they do that they will disgard you for your blood relation to me. Understand. I have to protect you Rin even if it hurts you. Luke and Naluma have had a rough year, but their Force-bonded love has gotten them through the death of a student a few months earlier. However, Luke's worried about Naluma, who is trapped at the Jedi Academy with two dozen Padawan driving her crazy in the dead of winter. He surprises her with a long-overdue vacation for just the two of them, the first one in the four years they've known each other. However, their idyllic love is tested when Luke refuses to give Naluma what she desperately desires: a child of their own. When the Force gets involved, the couple learns that imposing the words of man on the will of the supreme power in the galaxy is never going to work--and the Force plays dirty when accomplishing its will.
