That's what Pieck told Jean in the middle of the war. When I read it, I thought, where does this conversation come from? It seemed like they had a back story that Isayama didn't write. So, I imagined that something happened between them in chapter 127. Also, chapter 138 is heartbreaking. To get over my heartbreak, I wrote this story. I couldn't write about Eren. I think he is a perfect character that Isayama made. I love everything about him and what he did that's why I can't write an alternate story about him. I am waiting on what will happen to him in chapter 139. Hope it gets better. For now, let's enjoy Jean. He's clearly handsome, a debonair.
