Joe and Cherry are hopelessly in love with each other. Cherry is completely aware of these feelings and has excepted them, Joe on the other hand is a gay in denial. Not much has changed since the day Cherry and Joe first met, when they only knew each other as Kaoru and Kojiro. They're still fiercely competitive, they fight like children, and they have lunch together when they can.
