ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇᴛᴇ ✮ ᴀᴢʀɪᴇʟ x ғᴇᴍ!ᴏᴄ ✮ ᴛᴀᴋᴇs ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇ ᴀғᴛᴇʀ ᴀᴄᴏᴡᴀʀ The fall of Hybern should have been the end of it: the bloodshed, the violence, the strife. But all kingdoms come with a failsafe. An Heir rises, and an assassin wakes. She is a walking myth, a legend from nightmares. When the Deathbringer finds her way into the Night Court after centuries of dormancy, the Inner Circle sees her for what she is: not an omen, not a weapon, but a girl. She just might be the key to saving Prythian -- if she can first find a way to save herself. Assassin. Murderer. Monster. It seems like a fair enough trade: her shattered soul to take down the Heir of Hybern. And yet, the Inner Circle has another method in mind. The guilt of her past weighs like a world on her shoulders, though Fallon can't seem to deny it: this Court, these people... they're worth dying for. But they just might be worth living for, too. There's one in particular. One who speaks to shadows, one whose darkness seems to whisper to her own. There's a word hidden in that whisper, one she could never fathom until now -- until him. slowish!burn. plot-centric just as much as it is romance-centric, or at least imo.

Galadriel was once a spy, deep in the Autumn Court but an act of loyalty to a friend cost her that position. Now forced back into hiding, the Night Court takes charge in keeping her hidden from Beron's search for her head. Loyal to her spymaster, she faces the backlash of what that has cost her in the near two hundred years of lying and the weight of her failure breaks her down bit by bit.

Born blind and under the rule of a cruel dictator, Persephone has only known a life of both literal and figurative darkness. And she doesn't see a way out, at least, not until her father brings home a strange human female and her world changes in ways that she couldn't have ever imagined. (Obviously I don't own the ACOTAR series. Any characters, plots, or dialogue from Sarah J. Maas's ACOTAR series that you find here belong solely to her. I only claim Persephone and her storyline as my own)

(Morrigan × OC) Facade. We all think nobody can see through ours. Why do we have them? What are we hiding? Sorrow? Because we don't want to be weak? Happiness? Because it's so precious that we have to hide it? When do we realise others have one? Is it a human instinct then? To hide vulnerability and happiness both? If it was an instinct and everyone had one, then that would have comforted Morrigan. As life would have it, she had to learn that facades are delicate. They slip on and off and some people can see through them. A lot more than what she would have liked.

I spent fifty years avoiding my cousin and his family. Sitting here opposite of the most beautiful male I'd ever known, I cursed myself for those years. I could have met Azriel, Shadowsinger of the Night Court, a little sooner. After a lifetime of struggling to survive, Alya Song finds herself being dragged to an execution post and tied up by a War Lord of the Illyrian War Camp, Alhallow. After the weeks they'd spent torturing her, she had no fight left. So she closed her eyes and tried to think of a better place. Her mother had told her stories of a city with music and magic and light, with joy echoing in the streets, day and night. So, with death threatening to strike, she dreamed of the City of Starlight. She didn't expect to actually end up there, amongst her second cousin and his family. She didn't expect to be dragged into their ranks just as a War was brewing. And she certainly didn't expect for them to ask for her help. But then again, Rhysand, Feyre, and the Inner Circle were never the people they pretended to be, so 'unexpected' was a given.

If there was one thing that both Azriel and Zahra Archeron had in common, it was that they were both very good at blending into the background. They just never thought that their family were going to be the ones who never saw them at all.
