She always wanted to write letters to strangers. She wanted them to be old fashioned, like those messages in bottles or the ones written with inked quills. The anonymity of it all seemed so delightful, the girl would tell them her stories and they would do the same in return. They'd never meet and hear each other's voices but they'd learn many new things together. It was supposed an innocent idea, leaving a letter on a tree for a stranger to see - so why was he so keen on following her?

"Can you hear me?" A fragile, wavering voice spoke out from within the speakers of the computer. It tugged at your heartstrings, but despite yourself, you couldn't tear your eyes away from the screen. "I can see you. Through your camera..." The noises of 8-bit codes smashing together to form coherent words reached your ears, making you think that just for a second, you were all but dreaming. But when the voice spoke up one more time, you came to realise that this wasn't fake. "I've been wanting to talk to you for a while, (Y/N). The real you."
