SAMPLE CHAPTERS ONLY: Published in edited edition on Amazon *Trigger warning: small amount of physical and mental abuse in this otherwise loving and humorous story. After climbing the ranks from her humble beginnings of scullery maid to lady's maid, Nora Sharpe finds herself surrounded by luxury, refinement, and mostly peace. Finally happy and content with her life, Nora is now headed to Bath as a companion to the infamous and eccentric Lady Margaret, the Countess of Blakely. But, Lady Margaret sees something special in the young beauty and intends to turn her into a lady. Sponsoring Miss Nora Sharpe for a London Season will entertain Margaret's restless soul and quirky mind. Once she properly-or improperly-launches Nora into London's High Society, Lady Margaret plans to land Nora a titled husband, and the Cunning Countess will stop at nothing to get what she wants. Although grateful to Lady Margaret for such an extraordinary opportunity and kind gesture, Nora spends sleepless nights filled with worry and dread. As much as she loves daydreaming of the life the countess is offering, Nora knows with certainty it can never be. Should Nora unburden herself of the secret she's kept bottled inside for years? And if so, to whom can she trust? Or should she run while she still has the chance? Are the affections of an eccentric, loving, and stubborn countess, a devilishly handsome, mysterious duke, and a kind, romantic, and swoon-worthy earl enough to make Nora finally face the demons of her past? Book Two of my Victorian Novella series and can be read as a stand-alone book, but reading Book One, "The Heart of a Viscount" will give the reader more back history on Nora, my heroine in this one. A library, not bedroom romance.

Sophia has sacrificed everything for her younger sister, Lucy. She has removed them from the only home they ever knew, taken on the care of Lucy's illegitimate son, George, and even assumed the role of a widow and mother in order to erase all hint of scandal from the boy's birth. But rumor continues to follow them like the darkest of clouds, and Sophia must adapt to her new existence as a false widow with no prospects beyond the doors of her small cottage. Lord Haughton - "Finn" to those close to him - will stop at nothing to prevent the slightest whiff of disgrace from tainting his family's name. When he learns of his younger brother's latest indiscretion-one that leaves a bastard child in his wake-Haughton rushes across the country to offer the boy's mother a comfortable living in exchange for her silence about the child's true parentage. But he arrives only to have his generous offer thrown back in his face by Sophia Brixton, a sharp-tongued and sharper-witted woman who proceeds to toss him out of her house. But just because he is banished from her home does not mean he is so easily banished from her life.

*Now published on Amazon and free with Kindle Unlimited Sample chapters only What's a girl to do when she's left orphaned and alone after her father's unfortunate and unexpected demise? Miss Verity Weston imagined she'd be whisked off to the country and settle into a quiet life with her only living female relative, Aunt Margaret, the Countess of Blakley. However, her father had other ideas. Fearing his sister, Margaret, would set a bad example for Verity-the countess was quite eccentric and well in her dotage-her father did the unthinkable and left her the ward of Viscount Stanbury-a mere stranger. Viscount Stanbury was in too deep. A confirmed bachelor and heir to a dukedom, Julian lived his life at leisure until the unthinkable happened. However, as a gentleman, he was only as good as his word. Verity Weston had turned his life upside down, and he wanted to wring the chit's neck or kiss her senseless-depending on the moment. With Verity's exquisite beauty and dowry, settling her with an honorable husband should have been easy, yet nothing was simple when it came to Verity. A love/hate relationship, burning chemistry, and a crazy, overbearing countess collide in this thrilling and humorous Victorian Novella.

Ereptus never wanted to be responsible for anyone but himself, so when an old friend asks him to escort a special young girl to safety he's less than pleased about the idea. The girl isn't too keen herself, finding the handsome thief untrustworthy. Together they have to make their way across the kingdoms to Messina, putting aside their differences, and realising that all is not as it may seem at first glance. A WHITE ROSE is a novelette, a re-write of an older story of mine, and as such maybe not quite up to my usual standards. But I still really enjoy the characters, and they will be appearing in other stories in the SPELLBOUND universe. - 1st Place Mono Awards (Short Story) - 1st Place Royalty Awards (Short Story)
