The peace is broken when a rouge shinigami throws his notebook onto the human realm and a human with the desire to become a god picks it up. A goddess of love, you decide to check up on the human realm for the first time in years and you see a grave danger in the path of the worlds greatest detective. A little divine intervention can't be that bad can it? After all Shinigami are roaming the human realm, why not balance the scales a little?

After seeing her parents die in front of her and being taken away from her older brother to be experimented on, some other things happen before Claire gets sent to Japan with a loving family until Claire's adoptive mother dies of cancer. Her adoptive father blames Claire for her death, and the small peaceful period in her life was gone. What happens though when she ends up finding herself on the Kira case and finally seeing her brother after years but doesn't even recognize him? Disclaimer: I do not own Death Note Obviously.

To L, she was an unknown piece in the giant game of chess he was playing with Kira. Or rather, she was the wildcard third person that had enough influence to disrupt his carefully laid out plays, and that demanded that he solve the enigma known as (Y/n) Yagami. She was dangerous, and knowing this, she wasn't above using her influence which made her a worrying variable. If he was going to solve this case, he had a feeling that he would need (Y/n) to be playing for his side, which was easier said than done since it would further require uprooting her seemingly unwavering loyalty to her brother.

The two of you grew to be friends and detectives along the way, although L became the worlds greatest detective, surpassing you. But ever since that faithful day you met him, you'd been adding to your own little case, one you'd work on for years to come. Case file: L Lawliet. Why did you feel so attached to him?

Y/N was 9 years old when she picked up a strange notebook, the moment she touched the paper a huge , almost human like monster appeared right in front of her. big yellow eyes stared at her as Y/N said curiously: "Hello" "Hello there little one." The big white skinned monster replied as he smiled widely showing his sharp teeth. "What are you?" "I am a shinigami, god of death" The monster grinned. "do you have a name?" The shinigami was quite surprised with how cool the little girl responded to his appearance. "Ryuk"

L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. Basically all language for the reader is gender neutral, anyone can read! Non binary mfs rejoice. When the eventual lemon hits it'll be kinda alluded to an AFAB body (bc marketing to my main audience yo), but all pronouns are they/them and there's no descriptions of tiddies or anything.
