A sojourn it is. ❝His scent is petrichor. He shall always be the golden page of my recollections, of beautiful memories. The greatest archer of the time❞ Derived from the Sanskrit word स्मरण (smaraṇa, "the act of remembrance, remembrance, reminiscence, recollection") which leads to the realization of that which is of the highest aspect and purpose in one's life, she shall be true to her name. Mahabharata a heroic tale of ancient times. It is the truth of life. What shall happen when a girl who has always been fantasized by the royal and colossal epic is fortunate to tumble in the era for a sojourn only to return back? It is her journey to learn and nourish the seed of dharma she has in her heart. After the cacophony of storms the trees get uprooted but the saplings stay rooted to the firm ground. Simultaneously, the blasphemy of kaliyug has uprooted many trees of righteousness, but can that little seed of dharma germinated within her make the era prosper with evergreens? The Kurus have ruled the earth with an iron fist and the possibility of a civil war draws all the vultures near to the empire's fast rotting carcass to scavenge to their own fill. Yet a blue skinned man with a peacock feather stands behind the only light burning bright, helping the near impregnable wall which stands in between Hastinapura's dwindling defence and the avarice ridden swords of the rest of Aryavarta. The son of the Thunderer they called him. The prince of lightning. An unknown regent works in the shadows fulfilling an undiscovered agenda and waylaids the path of the warrior prince like a hurricane, determined to uproot all of his carefully crafted plans. She is a mystery he would do anything to solve. A phoenix with snapped wings and claws sharper than his best arrows. They called her the ice queen. The princess of deceit. It is a clash of titans and the world watches with bated breath as the lines of hatred blur and emotions topple into the already broiling cauldron of chaos. As great men have always said, love is the sweetest poison, there ever was. Cover, banner, aesthetic credits : @that_sarcastic_gal

The great Mahabharata battle took away the lives of many and left many families incomplete. What would it be like if Anga Raj Karna had a daughter? What would the emotional turmoil of a young girl who lost all she called family in the battle be like? The diversity of the characters, and what may have been their perspectives, is one of the major factors that continues to kindle the flame that has made 'The Mahabharata' an evergreen epic. Yet, the details exploring the lives of the remaining members of the Kuru Dynasty, post the catastrophic battle of Kurukshetra, is left to the imagination. Through exploring what could possibly have taken place post the battle of Kurukshetra, the main focus of this story lies in traversing through the emotions of the various characters - including their unique and heart-warming bonds with the main protagonist of the story. *This is a purely fictional story. Karna's daughter is a character that I have made up for the purpose of this story. - जिजीविषा च मुमुक्षु ― The will to live, the hunger for release. Gauri Nimbalkar lingered somewhere in between. Time did not take her - it sentenced her. One moment, love cradled in her arms; in the next, she was cast into a world that worships her name but does not know her soul. Bound to a love that dissolved like sand through her fingers, punished for a sin she never intended, and haunted by the remnants of a life stolen from her grasp- she walks as both a trespasser and a tether of a divine past. But fate is a script she refuses to follow. If the past has stolen from her, she will steal from destiny itself. Let the gods watch - for Gauri will decide whether she bends or breaks; whether she wills to live or to liberate.
