Dr. K is the new psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum with a slippery past and a mastery of analyzing people, especially super criminals. While she enjoys the thrill of interviewing the patients, her past soon comes back to track her down and drag her back into the dirt. Hey, it takes one to know one, right? Author's Acknowledgement: My first real introduction to Batman was a cartoon called "Batman: The Brave and the Bold", which showed both A and D-list villains that I enjoyed equally. After showing interest in the franchise, my father showed me the '89 movie and episodes of the '60s show, on which he'd grown up on. Now older, and having been exposed to the more darker elements of Batman, I enjoy both the modern depiction of Batman while still hold respect for his roots and alternate variations. I hope fans of both sides will find something to enjoy in "The Doctor Is In".

In the history of storytelling down through the ages some of our most enduring tales have been of heartbroken individuals who have found solace and a fresh appreciation for life despite their great personal loss through a chance connection with a kindred soul in the animal kingdom. These stories of deepest despair transformed into a new joy in living life, of being reborn through a bond with a pet, of discovering a communication beyond the verbal, of having a hole in one's heart mended by a loving inter-species friendship, have become some of the best-loved narratives of our popular literary canon. Otto and Victoria, is a new tale to warm the hearts of children of all ages for all the ages to come. From the creative imagination of master illustrator, filmmaker and author Brian Kesinger comes this story of a very special girl, Victoria, a born adventuress raised by the ocean seaside. Tragically orphaned, she finds a renewed love of life and joy in living through her relationship and many adventures with Otto, an octopus who serves as her personal butler but is, more importantly, her best friend. Sometimes the best medicine for a broken heart is a loving hug, and sometimes, an eight armed hug just might make a miracle.

Science expirement. Mistake. Lab toy. Test tube rat. The dreams -- or were they memories? -- had haunted Keegan Waltimer for years. Don't get her wrong. She was sure it was something her father had cooked up long ago. It was exactly the type of ecentric, dramatic / drama-filled crap that he lived off of, since he did work at the town's theatre. Her mother had probably added to the madness potluck with all her Sci-Fi writings. Only Suri knows about the strangeness of the dreams. And where Keegan is 100% sure they're just that (dreams), Suri is positive it's something from the past. Having been arguing about the topic for as long as they've known each other (forever), Keegan has learned to ignore Suri about it most times. But Suri is getting bolder; restless, insisting that some digging is in order should Keegan ever unravel the truth to the scenes. Keegan can't let her nagging persistance fly for much longer. Not when Suri is living in her head.

Harriet has always been the type of girl who would rather ride horses than stitch embroidery, practice her sword-fighting than practice her curtsies, and she'd rather dream about being the first female knight in all of history instead of a docile wife on some nobleman's arm. When a war between the allies of Ecrivenia and the kingdom of Carigan starts to brew, Harriet begins to wonder if it might just be her chance to become the knight she's always wished to be. Taking a chance, Harriet enlists in the King's Army, disguising herself as the red-headed, slight-figured, and quick-witted boy, Harry. However, when she is put under the charge of the handsome and strict King of Marenta, Leopold, she realizes her troubles are just beginning. Not only will she have to keep the other men from noticing she is a woman, but she will also have to put up with the scrutiny of King Leopold, the best friend of her brother-in-law. Throw in grueling training sessions, whispers of treason, and the enemy's secret weapon, Harriet suddenly finds herself thrust into the reality of being a knight in a war that might not be able to be won. ------ This is a sister novel to the first draft of Glass Slippers.
