This is set in a secondary school that also has a sixth form. Secondary school has students from age 12 (their age when they start in year 7) to age 16 (year 11). Sixth form has students from age 16-18, sometimes 19 if students stay back a year (this is years 12 and 13). Cas has a year 7 class, and Dean has a year 13 class.
