Abused, abandoned and rejected, Izuku Midoriya is tired of being treated like a subhuman due to his quirklessness. As the vigilante Zero, he vows to make a change in society and prove that quirkless doesn't mean worthless. But there's a long, difficult road ahead of him. ---- WARNING, THIS STORY WILL INCLUDE: -depression -suicide attempts/self-harm -abuse -bullying -mentions of rape -lots of swearing This story does NOT condone things like abuse, suicide, and self-harm. If you have suicidal/self-harming tendencies or are being abused, or you know someone who is, get some help! Also, My Hero Academia and its characters are the property of Kohei Horikoshi, and none of the art is mine either unless I say so. The only thing I own in this story is the plotline. NOW CROSSPOSTED ON Ao3 (Account Name: EvilGenius) ---- A new chapter will be updated about every 2-3 weeks (may slow down), and I aim for a length of 5,000+ words per update. Current Word Count: 84,734 Starting Date: 5/28/2020 Completion Date:

"Even if I don't have a quirk, can I bee a hero?" Silence... "Without a quirk?" "If you want to help others, then you could also become a police officer, or a nurse." And he may have been right, maybe he couldn't be a hero without a quirk, but that entirely depends on your definition of a hero. Is it the legal definition? A person employed under agencies to deal with villains? Or is it the noun? A person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities? The media eats the Vigilante Valor's story up. His name literally meant brave, and he showed that bravery. He even recorded it and posted it online, the crazy bastard. Obviously, the media loves a young bad boy with a good heart and a mysterious identity, and it doesn't take long for him to become internet-famous.

I ONLY OWN THE PLOT OF THE STORY FROM CHAPTER 33 ONWARDS, AND @TinTeaKettle, @ImSad-HiSadImDad AND @idontwanttodothings ALSO GET CREDIT FOR HELPING ME! THANKS TO THEM! YAY. I'm warning you all, I will lose motivation a lot, so this might go on hiatus at some point, but I will try my best to continue it! I really don't want to discontinue this again, but I'm warning you all, I might. Highly unlikely though. Slow updates, I don't have a schedule unfortunately, but I will be focusing on this the most. I think. Anyways, DESCRIPTION TIME! "Even if I don't have a quirk, can I be a hero?" Silence... "Without a quirk?"
