" The Snows of Kilimanjaro " is a short story by Ernest Hemingway . It was first published in Esquire magazine in 1936. It was republished in The Fifth Column and the First Forty-Nine Stories in 1938, The Snows of Kilimanjaro and Other Stories in 1961, and is included in The Complete Short Stories of Ernest Hemingway: The Finca Vigía Edition (1987).

This is a story consisting of two one shots I wrote as a commission. The first chapter is about Ash's emotions at the end of episode 24 and the second chapter is about Eiji's feelings. Both of their injuries are smaller and they find their happy ending.

This is a book where I'll upload my Skate the Infinity one shots. It will be mostly hurt comfort or slow burn/romance stories and mostly be focusing on Renga/ Reki & Langa as a ship.

Note: please don't read that if you don't want to suffer through episode 24 again. This is a inner monologue of Ash while sitting in the public library after meeting with Blanca at the park but before Ash reads Eiji's letter. There will be a second part of this after reading Eiji's letter (he won't die I promise). It's like a prequel to my other story Another missed flight. Sorry, I needed that to cope with chapter 24 and some people kept pestering me about publishing it so I had no choice ... I wrote that to understand Ash's reasoning. Note that I had to pretend that Eiji told him some things directly and Ash just repeats what Eiji told him because Ash would never think or believe them about himself (like that he has a pure soul etc.) Call that relative freedom. It's a story where Ash finds his way back to Eiji right on time for Christmas. There's a letter involved.

An alternative ending where Eiji saves Ash at the last minute before bleeding out. Since he's powerless in a wheelchair he has help, of course.

Everything is now over and everything will be back to normal. That should go for all who suffered the long time of war and pain, wins and losses, gains and loses. But Eiji is an exception. It's now time to return to his homeland, Japan. He feels a void in his heart as he boards the plane and he knows very well what can fill that void. It's that person he shared all his pains with. The only person he can't bear to lose, the only person he desires to see before he leaves. But he can't turn back now. He's made up his mind and he knows what he's doing is for the best. "Eiji." A voice rings in his ears. He knows that voice. He knows who called him and he listens to it. "I'm sorry Ibe-san but I'm going down." He doesn't want to leave and regret this for the rest of his life. He needs to see Ash right now. He needs to be with him. So he makes a decision and takes the risk. But, did he make the right choice? Or did he make a choice that will make him want to reset time and wish he never went off the plane?
