NALINI - I believe in Love but I don't believe in sacrificing myself for it's sake. My marriage is a promise, a duty I have to fulfil as my Father's last wish. If he wants more, he must voice it out. But I love one thing, that is getting on his nerves. It's entertaining to watch when he wants me but never admits. KABIR - I have experienced Love, got my heart broken but I have seen my parent's Marriage work and I am sure mine would too. Well it would someday but only if my wife, hands me over the Divorce papers. I hate her guts and I hate to be in this Marriage's mess. I hate that she gets on my nerves from day one. I hate that she makes me want to pin her against the wall and strangle her as I... Nevermind, it's useless, this Royal arrangement.

In the turbulent heart of 1930s Bengal, where tradition and progress collide, two remarkable souls dare to rewrite their destinies. Barrister Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury returns from Kingston, brimming with ideals and a determination to reform his homeland. His path crosses with Bondita Das, a spirited young woman whose own dreams of education and independence set her apart in a society bound by age-old customs. The fateful reappearance of Bondita, once a girl he met by accident, raised by his uncle, now a woman of conviction sets in motion a journey. When social pressures and a twist of fate threaten Bondita's future, Aniruddha's only recourse is to offer her the protection of his name. What begins as a marriage of necessity slowly transforms into a partnership built on respect, shared ideals, and a growing, unspoken love. Together, they confront the harsh realities of their times: fighting to protect a widow from the flames of Sati, challenging the injustices of early marriage, and supporting Nikhil, Aniruddha's cousin, in his quest to give a widowed woman a second chance at happiness. But even as their friendship deepens, secrets from Aniruddha's past and the weight of unspoken emotions threaten to tear them apart. Bondita's resolve to pursue her dreams clashes with Aniruddha's fears of holding her back, leading to heartbreak and misunderstanding. Yet, in the crucible of loss and longing, they discover a bond that transcends convention, a relationship not just of husband and wife, but of equals, allies, and partners in the pursuit of justice. Rishta Tera Mera is a sweeping historical saga of love, loss, and reform, a tale of two people who, against all odds, forge a connection that is as revolutionary as the times they live in. Step into the untold world of Uttara: the princess of Matsya, wife of the legendary Prince Abhimanyu, and mother to the future king Parikshit. Though her presence in the Mahabharata is brief, her story is profound. From being a student of Arjuna disguised as Brihannala to facing the harsh realities of widowhood at just sixteen, Uttara's journey is one of resilience, courage, and silent strength. This collection reimagines Uttara's life from her perspective, exploring the emotional and social battles she endured after her husband's heroic death ... battles that history and epic poetry have often overlooked. Blending canonical events with legends from various Puranas, reincarnation tales, and a captivating Rajasthani folklore from Jhunjhunu, this retelling breathes life into a character who stood at the crossroads of legacy and loss when she lost both her husband and her twin brother in a matter of days and the child in her womb was attacked. Originally published as fan fiction inspired by the Star Plus adaptation of the Mahabharata, Uttara is a heartfelt tribute to one of the epic's most understated yet vital figures. A must-read for lovers of mythology, history, and stories of unsung heroines.

Along with Kashibai Peshwe this story is dedicated to all women who remained gracious in the face of heartbreak! The Peshwa wife, who was destined to live in the shadow of her husband Bajirao's achievements and valour, remained a faithful and stoic consort. She had no choice but to remain confined to the domestic arena which was presided over by her mother-in-law Radhabai while her husband expanded the Maratha Empire. There was public outrage over the growing influence of Mastani on Peshwa Bajirao and his decision-making. Kashibai had to endure her husband's growing neglect due to his obsession for Mastani. While he indulged in hedonistic pleasure with his lover Kashibai was left to face the ire of his mother and the orthodox Brahmin society of the time. Historians and playwrights have sung hosannas to the tragic Bajirao-Mastani romance, depicting it in novels, plays and films. None of them bothered to do justice to the suffering of his wife Kashi, instead wrongly accusing her of having participated in the torment of the lovers. Even the recent Bollywood film on the subject failed to highlight how Kashi nurtured and raised her stepson Samsher Bahadur after the demise of Bajirao-Mastani. This piece of work is an endeavour to set the record straight and give Kashibai Peshwe her due.
