Madeline Weathers has no friends. For the past four summers, she has spent all of her time coping with social anxiety in various houses around the globe as her mother hops around from country to country for job opportunities. But now it's her senior year, and her mother will do anything to break her of her disease. So she does what every mother would do, she sends Madeline to summer camp for psychological travesties. There she meets a girl with insomnia, a camp counselor with a background in substance abuse, and a boy with bipolar disorder that will ultimately change her life. The premise of this camp is simple: Fix yourself, and get the hell out.

Michael is looking for a new start and a way to manage his anger issues when he moves back to Sydney, leaving his mum behind, and moves in with his former best friend, Ashton. Unfortunately, Michael finds that starting over is much more difficult than he expects; Michael doesn't expect that there'd be a boy so timid Michael can't even raise his voice around him, and Michael certainly doesn't expect to care.
