❝ The skeletons in both our closets plotted hard to mess this up. ❞ ➝ Taylor Swift "Why are you so afraid to love anyone?" Matthew asked abruptly. The question surprised the girl, but she answered nevertheless. "There's lots of reasons," she paused, thinking over her words. "I mean, obviously, there's heartbreak involved. Love and heartbreak kind of go hand in hand. There's also the fact that I don't want to depend on anyone, because the only person you can really rely on is yourself." "That still doesn't explain it," the boy sighed. "Well," Ascella finally broke eye contact with the green eyed boy, rather turning to look back up to the stary sky. "Maybe I'm afraid to love people because I don't believe anyone could really love me they way I love them." "I do," he wants to say, but he doubts she would ever really listen to him. 【 Previously named 'Flicker' before rewrite】 【 Matthew Fairchild x FEM.OC】 【 Cover by @baIIads 】

"I burned my soul when I first found it, I watched as it went up in flames." "Whenever thoughts were hammering in Amelia's head, she could rely on the steady flow of ink coming from her pen, transforming her thoughts into rhymes and similes, alliteration and metaphors. She looked down at the parchment, and the poem scribbled on it. It was stained with the tears she had yet to shed. It was a look into Amelia's soul, all of her thoughts and emotions boiled down into a couple stanzas." Matthew Fairchild x oc Title is totally not inspired by invisible string by Taylor swift ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

"The heart was made to be broken." Oscar Wilde ________________ "It hurts," she whispered so softly that the wind would've drifted her words away if he hadn't been listening for them. There was a sharp pain in her chest, as if her heart was breaking even more just to prove her point. "Love didn't hurt you," he told her, his gaze steady and so piercing it was as if she could feel the words entering her aching heart. "Someone that didn't know how to love you did. Don't confuse the two." | The Last Hours ↠ Chain of Iron ↠ Matthew Fairchild [2] |

This is set in 2015. I wrote this before The Dark Artifices/The Last Hours/Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy came out, sorry if something is different if you're reading this after they are published. He arrives mysteriously in New York where he is found by the New York Institute Shadowhunters. Except he's been dead for 78 years. (My bios are really bad. Just try the story.) Almost all characters and ideas are Cassandra Clare's. The pictures on the cover are Cassandra Jean's, though the collage was done by me. ~Natalie

"You don't love someone for their looks, or their clothes, or for their fancy car, but because they sing a song only you can hear." Oscar Wilde ________________ His lips grazed against the skin on her cheek before he gently pressed a kiss there. She could feel the heat radiating from her face and she was silently thankful that it was so dark outside he couldn't see her blush. "Mon coeur est à toi," he whispered ever so softly as he moved his lips from her cheek to her ear. My heart is yours. | The Last Hours ↠ Chain of Gold ↠ Matthew Fairchild [1] |

Seren Baneswood had always been glad to have the Merry thieves in her life, to have the novelist Lucie Herondale and the shamelessly beautiful Anna Lightwood. But after a trip to Paris she finds London isn't quite how she left it. New faces surround the enclave both friend and foe and the peaceful London streets are rife with demon attacks. Seren finds herself forced to choose between standing up and fighting for the ones she loves or cowering into the shadows and protecting herself from a power greater than any Nephiliem or Downworlder has ever known. *Mathew Fairchild pairing/started 14/05/20 All characters except my ocs re property of Cassandra Clare and the plot closely follows Chain of Gold

Tessa, Will, and Jem's generation is over. Now it is time for their children to take the spotlight. The ever delightful Matthew Fairchild. The dreamer Lucie Herondale. The bookworm James Herondale. And finally, the sassy Cordelia Carstairs. Follow these four characters-and a few others-as they go through many of the ups and downs, that life will bring them. THIS STORY CONTAINS SPOILERS! So only read it if you have read Clockwork Princess. I would recommend reading TMI meets TID 3 before reading this story, because it will make a lot more sense. Finally, all rights go to Cassandra Clare :)

When Evan DeLuca finds herself at the gates of the great London Institute in Victorian England, something is most definitely wrong in London's Shadow World. Shadowhunters, half angel, half human, very fictional characters from her aunt's imagination, take her in as the Magister hunts for Tessa Gray, another mysterious arrival for the Nephilim. Not only does the story not follow its written path, but Evan finds herself thrown into the middle of the magic and wonder as she finds that she must fight for her own life now as well. All rights to Cassandra Clare, original author of The Infernal Devices. There are EXACT QUOTES by her in this fanfiction. The plot is hers, the timeline is hers, everything is hers except Evan DeLuca and the few changes she brings to the story. I own nothing.

" 'Who is she?' Jessamine demands. 'She's my Friend,' Jem says calmly. 'My best friend, actually.' 'I thought Will was your best friend,' Henry says. 'She's right after,' Jem grins at me. I return the grin. " • Completed • ~~~~ DISCLAIMERS • All characters (except Ella and some other side characters) are owned by Cassandra Clare, the author of The Infernal Devices trilogy • At least 40% of the book contains paragraphs of the original stories. ~~~~ At least read Clockwork Prince before reading Clockwork Angel if you don't want to get spoiled at all. (It's a minor spoiler that would be revealed at the start of Clockwork Prince) Apart from that, read according to the Chapter headers at the start
