"Your eyes are like galaxies," he tells me, his voice no louder than a whisper. His nose brushes against my own and I can feel the quick pace of his heartbeat under my palm, which lies on the side of his neck. I hum for a second. "Astronomy? Wrong subject." +++ I never knew what I wanted to study. I've always loved learning, regardless of the topic, because I wanted to understand the world. When I first read the description of sociology, it was love at first sight, a missing link that united my heart and my mind. Know-it-all, distant, difficult-to-work-with Rome Taylor who has made it clear that he has never liked me. He's the vice president of my presidency. The harsh peer review editor to all my essays. The competition against all my award nominations. And the one person I have to spend all semester long working with.
