Virgil has always been a loner, the bad boy, the kid parents warned their children to stay away from the one everyone in high school hated and deemed as loser or druggie. Roman on the other hand was the exact opposite: popular, confident, charming, the typical "good boy" everyone loved. Drunk of all the rumors going around about the darkly dressed teen, he believed every single one of them and clearly despised Virgil. So when his twin brother, Patton, finally changes school after 3 years of unnoticed bullying, arrives at their school for their senior year, deciding to befriend the emo boy because he 'looked lonely', Roman is everything but happy about it. But even if he doesn't agree with that friendship, he knows he can't stop his bubbly, ever happy brother from becoming Virgil's friend. So he simply decides to do what everyone would do in this kind of situation: get a fairly cheap phone and the emo's number, texting him anonymously to try and get know what kind of person he is. The only problem is he didn't take in consideration the possibility of falling for the infamous school loner...
