General John McNamara is annoyed. He is on a case, an important one, with his assistant and trainee, Curt Mega, but suddenly a portal opened up. Now, the general is no stranger to portals, but usually, they don't bring anything good. The last portal he'd seen took his mission partner and lover Colonel Wilbur Cross. Nobody knew about their love, and because of his mission failing, his partner is gone. Now the general is falling into a state of depression, but nobody can tell, or knows why. When this portal opens, it drops ten people from other universes, unleashing chaos upon everything. This idea was inspired by Joe Moses' initial idea of what The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals was about. Towards the end of Starkid's 10niversary 16 hour livestream, Joe Moses shares what he thought TGWDLM was about. From there, I decided I would write a story based off of it. In the tiny town of Hatchetfield, coffee loving scientist Henry Hidgens falls in love with a cute little barista named Emma Perkins. Using his scientific skills, he turns Hatchetfield into a romantic comedy musical. But everything doesn't go to plan and things get ugly.
