When Gally gets left behind by the gladers, a group fighting against WCKD finds him and patches him up. In that group there's a girl, Finley, who's brother was taken by WCKD years ago, she thinks Gally might just be her ticket back to him - or at the very least help her get some revenge. Some bits I made up to fill in the gap between the end of the maze runner and the death cure, but mostly follows the plot of the last movie.
