They get in touch through an app designed for Deckers trying to make a last friend on their End-Day called the LastFriend app. They meet up and are fortunate to spend almost the entire day together. There were ups and downs but this will be an experience they'll never forget even if they're destined to die at the end. It's almost 9 o'clock and they're both resting in Mateo's bed back at his apartment. **highly recommend reading the book before this~ I read this book a few years ago and it instantly became my favourite. I decided to write this since the end of the book hurt like hell and this was how I dealt with the pain lmao Hopefully I caught all the mistakes when I updated it, if not, please lmk :)

This place is more beautiful than everybody." 'Except you,' I wanted to add. "I was 'flirting', Mateo." "Right. My bad." He didn't respond. I listened to his breath and watched the beauty of The Afterlife go by... • The Afterlife seemed perfect at first. They were with their families again, they had an unlimited supply of activities to do, and they didn't have to worry about anything. That is, they didn't have to worry about anything until a mysterious girl showed up at their door with a note, telling them not to trust anyone and to find someone named Vincenzo Moretti... They had two options: Ignore the note and go make out in their new hot tub; or find Vincenzo and figure out what the hell was going on.
