After an apocalyptic event that thrusts the world into a new ice age, Calestia - a 17-year-old girl with a strong will - must learn to survive on a land infested with gangs, guns, and distrust. ***** Nobody knows what day it is anymore. Nobody knows the month, the day of the week...and the only way to tell time is by the slight change in the color of the sky from grey to black every twenty-four hours. If a day even is twenty-four hours anymore. The planet is dead. The people are dead. Snow falls down upon piles of bodies like the ash of a volcanic eruption. Except, the snow doesn't stop. It never does. It continues to fall and fall until you wonder if it is even possible for another flake to come down and land silently in your hair. But it does. They do. There are few survivors of what the remaining have started to call the end of the world. The Apocalypse. Few who are still brave or scared of death enough to face the torture that is living. I am one of those survivors. Book One of the Snow Series Highest ranking: #3 in Sci-Fi Watty's Shortlisted

-Sequel to Snow- The world isn't what it used to be. Supermarkets, malls, and grocery stores are abandoned and mutilated by the few survivors. Houses are destroyed under feet of snow. Almost everyone is dead. There seems to be no escape from the destruction caused by the storm. The only place people thought was left was the seemingly perfect Equator, down at the bottom of the United States. But those few survivors have banded together to face whatever else the world still has to offer. Even though the world is ruined, they haven't given up. And even though I thought it was impossible to withstand this storm... I know, now, that I was wrong. - Sequel to Watty's Shortlisted novel Snow-

Samuel Brandt woke up with his thoughts written all over his body. His brother woke up with his head missing. His sister woke up to find that her skin would crack open unless she stayed in water. All of the other children in the secluded Iowa town of Oak Knoll woke up having undergone strange transformations. Now, they are all forced to live at 407 West Marshall Street, the mysterious house outside of town. With the new name of The Boy with Words for Skin, Samuel wants nothing more than to hide from his new life. He painfully and unpredictably sheds his skin, there is a Voice in the entryway closet that is often cruel, and-perhaps worst of all for a naturally shy boy-the other children look to him as a leader. As his seven-year-old brother struggles with their new life, as terrifying growls start to come from the pitch black basement, and as his feelings for a girl begin to grow, The Boy with Words for Skin realizes that he wants to change. He wants to put others first, learn from his peers, and let himself hope that things will get better. The Boy with Words for Skin is the first book in the 407 West Marshall Street series. Each book will advance the story but be told from a different character. Book 2 will be The Girl without Eyes.

ALL IS SILENCE finished #37 of 151 for Wattpad's Story of the Year! Also a WATTYS 2015 - Dream Collections Winner! Thanks to everyone who added me to their collections! You made my year! The sequel, STRAIGHT INTO DARKNESS, is available in print and e-book on all major ebook sites. If you are interested in hearing about special deals on this or any other works, please sign up for my monthly newsletter at www.desertedlands.com. #1 in Science Fiction - 57 days so far! Thank you, readers! PG-15: [Yes, you read that right. I would recommend teens not read it until they are 16!] Profanity, violence and sexual situations. Warning: There is talk of cutting and suicide. If any of these are triggers for you, please consider that when reading. Take care. Rob What if death forgot you? In a future that could be ours, Lizzie, a suicidal teen-age girl, barely navigates her own life. Then everything falls apart. In an apocalyptic land nearly deserted by disease, she lacks reasons to live until a shocking turn of events reveals a phone number. Her call pulls her dangerously cross-country to meet a stranger she thought was dead. In a world where there is plenty of food, plenty of gas, plenty of space... fear, anger and a lust for power still control the patterns of human life. This coming of age, edgy young adult novel is the debut of a former alternative high school teacher. If you like this, try Toils and Snares, a Deserted Lands novella, sampled on Wattpad.

Annalissa's world is perfect- except for that it's not. As a member of the lowest class of Dystopia, the Orphans, she has no say in her destiny. The government decides everything for her. Her only shot at upwards social mobility and maybe even autonomy is to be Chosen up into the Royal class- the top 1% of the population, to be trained as a leader in this corrupt futuristic world. Like that's ever going to happen. By some stroke of luck, Annalissa is Chosen up during the Choosing Day ritual on her sixteenth birthday, right into the Royal sect, along with three other of Dystopia's most perfect, most beautiful, most intelligent, and most amazing people. But when a cute boy from back home appears in her new life speaking of rebellion, what will Annalissa do? And what about Aidan, the mysterious son of the President, who seems to harbor secret affections for her? (Uh-oh, I smell a love triangle) As tensions rise in Dystopia, everyone looks to newly-Chosen Royal, Lady Annalissa Hunter, to lead the country in a rebellion. But is she really prepared to do so when inside she is faced with so much romantic conflict? Join a relatable teenage protagonist just like you and me on this futuristic journey through rebellion, oppressive government regimes, getting your first boyfriend, and all the other clichés of the YA Dystopian genre. ------------------------------------------------------------ *WARNING* There's minor swearing throughout, just in case that's a problem for you. While materials directly referenced are of course the intellectual property of those who are responsible for their creation, I'm gonna lay claim on everything else mentioned here.
