After the events of "Young Blood, Old Souls", Luz and King have been by themselves for three weeks after Tibbles acquired the Demonic Power Crown, which originally belonged to the Titan themself, which he used to absorb the soul of her mother and gain complete control of Eda, Lilith and Hooty. Amity had used an illegal spell to open a portal to the human realm and bring Camilla Noceda through. Afterwards Luz stopped being friends with her.
