#542(9/5/2018 in Fantasy) Every millennium one person on Earth is gifted with a power no one could imagine. These powers come from the world they live in and with them this person can do incredible things. At the age of 16 Kat is given this gift and her life is never the same again. The people she will meet will leave their mark and will never be forgotten. Anyone could be chosen but only one person can be the gifted one. Kat will have to face new challenges that test her physically and emotionally.

After an accident triggers her genetic mutation-turned-super powers, Aspen Duchannes and her (also mutant) Deaf brother Wilbur are sent to the Maxwell Academy to train and harness their powers. They refuse to participate for two years...until her brother decides he wants to attend. However, a day after associating with her unit of teenage mutants, the entire school is invaded. The people in her unit are the only survivors. On an adventure to uncover the raid's purpose, each student goes through love, hate, development, and everything in between to gain the knowledge of who raided the Academy in order to kill or imprison its students...and more importantly, why Aspen and Wilbur are so important to the leader.
