Despite being a disney quote, and something from her favorite childhood movie, after thousands of heartbreaks, when her fragile glass heart had finally taken enough, Caitlin decided enough was enough and stuck to her motto. She turned her back on the world, cursing it for its sins; shutting her friends and family out so that way, she wouldn't get hurt again and again. _______ My first oneshot! I had an inkling to write something that followed one of my personal favorite lines from the lion king, where Timone and Pumba tell Simba "When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world". It honestly seemed like such a Caitlin Snow thing, so here we are! This oneshot AU does NOT include powers! Barry is a CSI, Caitlin works at a hospital most days, and STAR Labs some days. Both Barry's parents are alive, while Caitlin's family status remains the same + more. I wrote this mainly to soothe my own depression. There are a lot of snippets of how I feel in my everyday life, so I connect with the quote above and Hakuna Matata, believe it or not. The Lion King, to me, displays an act of trying to help cure depression; using two phrases a lot of people can relate to. This oneshot may seem like nothing, but it is very dear to me.
