When Ash wakes up on his birthday, Eiji is already gone, so Ash thinks Eiji has forgotten his birthday. But would Eiji really forget his birthday? Eiji had always told him that it's important to celebrate dates like these, that he had been reborn and had been given a second chance, a new life with him in Japan.
